2. The entry fee is non-refundable in the event of participant cancellation, regardless of the reason. However, if the event itself is canceled, the organizer will reimburse the fees paid by the participant.
3. To compete, participants must register for at least one workshop during the festival. Each solo participant may only perform once in each category.
4. Participants are required to submit their competition music via email to raksnoorfestival@gmail.com no later than September 15, 2024. The email subject must be titled "NAME, COMPETITION MUSIC" to ensure proper organization. Music files must be in MP3 format and named according to the formula: CATEGORY_YOURNAME_POSITION (indicating whether it's for the stage or off-stage performance).
5. Solo participants must adhere to the designated time limit of 3 minutes for their performance. Songs exceeding the time limit will be cut off after a 10-second grace period. The recommended minimum time for performances is 2.30 minutes.

8. The organizer provides a dressing room for costume changes; however, makeup and hairstyling stations are not provided. Participants are expected to arrive with their makeup and hair ready.
9. The organizer ensures consistent stage lighting for all participants.
10. Participation in the competition implies consent to the use of participant images (photos, videos) for promotional purposes on social networks.
11. All dancers will be evaluated on a scale from 1 to 10 based on the following criteria:
a. Technique: Assessing the quality of movement, level of difficulty, and ability to adapt to the dance style.
b. Choreography & Musicality: Evaluating the interpretation of melody, rhythm, and selection of steps (excluding improvisation).
c. Stage Presence & Feeling: Analyzing the engagement with the audience, emotional expression, and overall performance.
d. Originality: Assessing the creativity displayed in dance dynamics and style.
e. Image: Evaluating the coherence of makeup, hairstyle, costume, and overall appearance with the chosen dance style.
f. Synchronization: Applicable for group competitions, measuring the harmony and coordination among dancers.
g. Improvisation & Musicality: Assessing the ability to adapt to music changes and connect with accompanying musicians and the audience.
12. Each judge assigns a numerical score based on these criteria. A higher total score indicates better performance. In case of tied total scores, shared places are allowed, even within the top three positions.
a. Example: Dancer A received a perfect score of 10 points from the judge for each criterion, resulting in a total score of 50 points. On the other hand, Dancer B earned 9 points from the judge for each criterion, accumulating a total score of 45 points. Consequently, Dancer A secured the first-place position according to this judge, while Dancer B attained the second-place position.
13. The winner of each category is determined by calculating the average placement (not points) given by each judge. Lower average placements indicate better performance.
a. Dancer A received scores from 5 judges, with three judges awarding her first place and two judges awarding her second place. To calculate her average placement, we sum up the placements and divide by the number of judges: (1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2) / 5 = 1.4.
b. Similarly, Dancer B received scores from 5 judges, with two judges awarding her first place and three judges awarding her second place. Her average placement is calculated as follows: (1 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2) / 5 = 1.6.
c. Comparing the averages, we find that Dancer A has a lower average placement (1.4) than Dancer B (1.6). Therefore, Dancer A emerges as the winner of the competition.
14. In case of tied averages, preference is given to the dancer with a greater number of higher placements from the judges.
a. Dancer A received scores from 5 judges, with one judge awarding her first place, three judges awarding her second place, and one judge awarding her third place. To calculate her average placement, we sum up the placements and divide by the number of judges: (1 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 3) / 5 = 2.
b. Similarly, Dancer B received scores from 5 judges, with three judges awarding her first place, one judge awarding her second place, and one judge awarding her fifth place. Her average placement is calculated as follows: (1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 5) / 5 = 2.
c. Though both dancers have the same average placement, Dancer B is declared the winner because she secured more first-place rankings.
15. The Absolute Master winner is decided by summing the ranks achieved in all Championship eligible categories. The dancer with the lowest total rank wins. While rare, it is possible for two dancers to have the same average and placements from judges. In such cases, the Main Judge makes the final decision.
